Trust & Estate Litigation Managing Attorney

We seek an exceptional  Managing Attorney , or an experienced 3 - 6 year Probate Litigator ,   who is ready to step into a leadership role at their office in Walnut Creek, California .  This is an opportunity for a trusts and estates litigator to help shape the next chapter of the firm’s growth, backed by industry-recognized leadership, a values-driven culture, a strong operational infrastructure, and a reputation that truly opens doors.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Oversee and manage probate, trust, and estate litigation matters, including will contests, trust disputes, fiduciary litigation, and related conflicts
• Lead and mentor associate attorneys and legal staff within the San Diego office
• Develop litigation strategies and oversee case progression from intake through trial or settlement
• Act as lead counsel in hearings, mediations, and court proceedings
• Collaborate with firm leadership on strategic initiatives and client relationship development
• Maintain high-level client service and ensure communication and outcomes align with client expectations
• Participate in marketing efforts with dedicated in-house support

Qualifications:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school
• Active member of the California State Bar in good standing
• 3 - 6  years of experience in probate, trust, and estate litigation
• Prior experience supervising or mentoring attorneys preferred
• Strong understanding of California probate law, trust administration, and estate planning
• Exceptional litigation, case management, and communication skills
• Demonstrated ability to build and maintain client relationships and lead a legal team

Compensation & Benefits:

• Salary $200,000 - $300,000
• Plus, a yearly bonus based on the firm's performance and employee performance
